Luang Phor Im Panyawutho is a revered holy monk from Thailand, known as a monk who lived through five royal eras. He was born on December 6, 1916 (2459 A.D.) in Yang Khom village, Phipun district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. His birth name was Im Wutthipong, the son of Khun Aiem and Khun Chuai Wutthipong. He was also the nephew of Phrakhru Suthammayanmuni (Phrathanchan Klai Wajasit), a famous monk in Thailand. At the age of 17 he became a samanera (novice monk) and at the age of 20 he was ordained a fully ordained monk under the guidance of Phra Ajahn Plod of Wat Na Khliang. However, he left the monastic life temporarily to help his family before he returned to the monastic order in 1984 (2527 B.C.) and has lived as a monk since then.

He was the main disciple of Phor Than Klai Wajasit, a renowned monk from Wat Suan Khan, who was also his teacher and close relative. Luang Pu Im received teachings on different Wicha (spiritual knowledge and wisdom), especially on holy mantras and inner knowledge concerning protection and the bestowal of blessings. He studied and mastered these teachings with great skill.

He also studied the Vipassana meditation of Phor Than Klai, which helped him to develop concentration and inner peace. The knowledge he gained was not only used as a means to help the wider community.

As the spiritual leader of Wat Thung Na Mai, Nakhon Si Thammarat, he has made a significant contribution to society. He has helped build important infrastructure such as a monastery, donated land for a community hospital, and supported education for local children. He is also known for his humble nature, kindness and willingness to help others regardless of their social status. To this day, at the age of over 107 (as of 2024), he remains a model of virtue and dedication to Buddhism and the broader community.
